Before I begin, I shall inform you that I have type 3A - 3B hair.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about check out this link: _
Or you can look at this horrible quality picture of the back of my head.
(Please excuse my lame exercise attire I am wearing at the moment!)
Ignore the shirt, focus on the curls. Thank you.
Tip #1: Rarely straighten your hair.
(Yeah, yeah, I know... It's SO much easier to handle when it's straight compared to when it's curly. But, like all articles say, it damages your hair! I used to straighten my hair all the time in 9th grade. Guess what happened? I damaged my hair so badly that I had to go straight-free for a year before my hair looked a tad bit curly again. Plus, curly hair - as much as a pain it is - is so much more interesting!)
Tip #2: Less is more.
(Personally if I use too many products, I end up feeling them in my hair for entire week. It's gross. I just use two quarters worth of a light leave-in-condition/gel and half a handful of RInglet. If I know it's going to be humid out, I might spritz some hair spray but that's it!)
Tip #3: Do not finger-comb your hair.
(I've noticed with my hair that if I do this it makes the outside of my hair wavy and the inside slightly more curly, creating this weird imbalance. I brush my hair while it's wet and then pat the products all over my hair.)
Tip #4: Do not brush hair while dry.
(I know I just said I brush my hair, but that's when it's wet. If you brush it while it's dry, you'll become the Royal Highness of Frizzville! And no curly-girl wants that, I can assure you!)
Tip #5: Frequent trims.
(This is can actually apply to all hair types. You want healthy hair and having frequent trims is part of that!)
