I love to cook.
(I'm 25% Italian - it's in my blood!)
Julia Child
Bobby Flay
So you can probably guess what I've been doing during my four-day weekend away from home.

Yup, I've been watching the Food Network.

Yes - I wasted my time watching chef Anne Burrel complaining that a contestant's chicken is "too dry" and chef Bobby Flay be adored by many on "Worst Cooks in America".

But I have learned a few things.  Like if you would want creamy mashed potatoes, add both cold and hot cream. (Made me chuckle and think of Julia Child's "If you're afraid to use butter, use cream!")  But I have also learned something else which, by the way, might help me eat slowly.  (Something I've been trying to attain for a while now.)

Textures, flavors, and all that good stuff is important in food..  So what am I going to do?  I am going to become like Remy and notice the music in the food!  And so far, it's working!

For example: Lemon + Lettuce = Delectably Simple

I hope this helps my food combination repertoire and hopefully leads to more improvision in the kitchen!
