As I prepare for senior year, I keep looking back on my junior year
and what I should take away from it so then this year will be my best.
Off topic, but I'm gonna be Dorothy for Halloween this year. Can't wait!!!

But if there are any of you out there who are on the verge of being a junior,
here are some of my tips so then you'll make it in one piece!

1. Have a wonderful group of friends.
You should always have a supportive peer group, but in junior year it is absolutely ESSENTIAL!!!
(I am so lucky to be surrounded by my friends Monday through
Friday during the school year, and sometimes during the weekend.)

These people will help dry your tears, make you laugh, and simply be there.
And believe me, you need that in 11th grade more than anything!!!

2. Don't let silliness/stress/situations bring you down.
This was my main pit in junior year. One of my best friends moved mid-year and I let it stick to me.
This let to me being rather upset not focusing on the more important things. Stress is also a huge

killer. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, comes out of it! (Go ask my shower... Poor thing... It had to deal with probably a Target bag's worth of my hair from being lost last year!)

3. Do not procrastinate.
Pretty obvious, but sometimes Senioritious hits students early. DO NOT LET THIS BE YOU!!! Do work the day it is assigned. Get it done early and you'll have more time to spend on leisurely activities.

4. Ask!
If you're ever unsure about something, ask! Teachers love it when you ask for help -- it's their job after all!
(Plus, it benefits your learning and grade.)

5. Smile!
Remain positive! I know sometimes you just want to give up, but don't! You'll make it through!
